Welcome To

Islamic Society of North Jersey

The Islamic Society of North Jersey (ISNJ) was established in February 1999 in Budd Lake, NJ upon the guiding principles of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

About Us

The Islamic Society of North Jersey (ISNJ) was founded in February 1999 in Budd Lake, NJ, rooted in the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. What began with just over 75 members has now flourished into a vibrant community of more than 200 active members, Alhamdulillah.

Our mission is to provide a spiritual and community hub for Muslims in northern New Jersey. We strive to foster an environment where individuals and families can:

Fulfill their Islamic obligations through the five daily congregational prayers and other acts of worship.
Build meaningful connections with fellow Muslim families, creating a strong sense of community and support.
Ensure the next generation receives a strong Islamic foundation by enrolling their children (from elementary to high school) in our Sunday School, which offers a structured curriculum in Arabic, Quranic studies, and Islamic education.

Participate in spiritually enriching gatherings, including Friday (Jummah) prayers, with thought-provoking khutbas (sermons).
Celebrate together as a community during Eid prayers and festive activities, fostering unity and joy.
Engage in community dinners and family halaqas, nurturing both the soul and the spirit of togetherness.
At ISNJ, we are committed to nurturing faith, knowledge, and a sense of belonging, empowering our members to live and grow as dedicated Muslims while contributing positively to society. We welcome everyone to join us in fostering a community grounded in Islamic values of unity, compassion, and service.

Our mission

Our mission is to follow the noble example of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) by:

Upholding and promoting the values of mercy, justice, and compassion as demonstrated by the Prophet (ﷺ) in every aspect of life. Fostering spiritual development and moral excellence within our community, in line with the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. Encouraging the practice of brotherhood, inclusivity, and kindness, inspired by the Prophet’s (ﷺ) treatment of all people with dignity and respect.

Serving the needs of the community and wider society through charitable acts, service, and outreach, following the Prophet’s (ﷺ) legacy of care for the less fortunate. Creating a space for learning, worship, and personal growth that instills love for Allah and devotion to the teachings of His Messenger (ﷺ), guiding individuals to live righteously and contribute positively to society.

Our Vision

To be a vibrant, inclusive, and spiritually enriching center that fosters faith, knowledge, and community cohesion, guiding individuals to live according to Islamic values in service to God, society, and humanity.
